1. About Settl
Settl is a mobile application and website operated by Alpha Instincts Technologies LTD, a company registered in England and Wales. Settl provides relocation guidance, task management, document storage, AI-assisted information, and peer community features to help international students prepare for life in the UK.
2. Acceptance of terms
By creating an account or using any part of the Settl service, you confirm that you are at least 16 years old and that you accept these Terms of Service in full. If you do not accept these terms, you must not use Settl.
3. Your account
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at support@joinsettl.com if you believe your account has been compromised.
4. Permitted use
You may use Settl for your personal, non-commercial relocation preparation. You must not:
- Use the service to provide professional immigration or legal advice to others
- Scrape, copy, or redistribute content from Settl without our written consent
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, hack, or disrupt any part of the service
- Create accounts for the purpose of spamming or misleading other users
- Upload documents belonging to another person without their consent
5. Content you submit
You retain ownership of content you submit (community posts, documents). By submitting content, you grant Settl a limited licence to store and display it as part of the service. You are responsible for ensuring your content complies with these terms and applicable law. We reserve the right to remove content that violates our Community Guidelines.
6. Guidance, not advice
Settl provides general information and task guidance to help you organise your UK relocation. It does not constitute legal, immigration, financial, or medical advice. Always verify critical information via official sources including GOV.UK, UKVI, your university's international office, and qualified professionals.
7. Document Vault
The Document Vault allows you to store copies of personal documents. We apply reasonable security measures to protect stored data. However, you are responsible for maintaining your own copies of important documents. Settl is not liable for any loss arising from reliance on documents stored in the app.
8. Intellectual property
All content, design, code, and branding within Settl is the property of Alpha Instincts Technologies LTD or its licensors. You may not reproduce or use any of it without written permission, except as permitted by law.
9. Disclaimer of warranties
Settl is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that information within it will always be current, accurate, or complete.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Alpha Instincts Technologies LTD is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of Settl, including but not limited to visa refusals, missed deadlines, or decisions made on the basis of information provided in the app.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via the app or email. Continued use of Settl after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
12. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these terms. You may close your account at any time via our deletion page.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
